About Us

My introduction to woodworking began in 8th grade. I really liked the process of working with wood and creating usable objects. The work suited my nature and attention to detail. Over the years, I made furniture for my own home and for family members despite the lack of a shop and power tools.

Having moved from Delray Beach, Florida to Seattle, Washington in 2000, I was fortunate to apprentice with Evert Sodergren, a third generation furniture builder. It was an unparalleled experience and rekindled my passion for woodworking. I learned the finer points of handcrafting fine furniture. After a move to Lawrence, Kansas, and a request from my wife to refashion a failing but loved utensil inherited from my mom, Ida, I found myself employing local wood to create cutting boards, cheeseboards, and kitchen utensils. We began selling them at our local/Lawrence Farmer’s Market and created a successful niche. I continued to make custom furniture upon request – this time with my own shop and power tools! I recently returned to live again in Delray Beach, Florida, and have established a shop locally where the magic still happens this time with my wife Patricia working at my side.

We hope you like what you see on our page and find something for yourself or to give as a gift.
